Aquatics Programs Overview
The Danville Family YMCA Offers various swim lesson opportunities for all ages from toddlers to adults, both in group settings as well as private. Safety around water is an important skill to learn and have, and our goal is to make sure all participants in our Swim Lessons are able to master and carry that skill with them. Swim Lessons can also help strengthen current skills.
Regular sessions of swim lessons in a group setting that occur on a fixed schedule. Learn critical swimming skills and strengthen what you know.
Swim lessons done your way, on your schedule. Private lessons allow flexibility with scheduling as well as being able to focus on personal swimming goals and needs.
An instructor led class for all ages and abilities. Designed to affect strength, endurance, mobility, and balance while providing a fun and engaging class! Catch Water Aerobics Monday-Saturday mornings at 9:00AM and Tuesday/Thursday evenings at 7:00PM.
Slower paced water workout focused on flexibility, stretching, balance, and range of movement. Perfect for anyone coming back to water workouts after surgery, orthopedic rehab, and cardiac rehab! Aqua Stretch takes place Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings at 10:15AM.
